This is still a work in progress as I upload tasting notes and wine labels from as far as 1999... Check back once in a while to get the updates.

1993 Grand-Puy-Lacoste

1993 Grand-Puy-Lacoste - drunk at home.  Initially closed and improved with breathing a bit.  Fruit was overpowered by loads of cigar smoke, and hints of bacon and pain grillé. A bit too smoky for my taste, but tannins were smooth and taste fairly crisp.  For its age there were significant amounts of sediment and should be decanted.  Bought from Sinolink for HKD 360.

29th birthday dinner

Dinner at Salut in Singapore with friends.

1996 Bouchard Beaune 1er Cru Clos de la Mousse - opened 2 bottles.  First bottle was not chilled and served too warm.  We chilled the second bottle and it drank much better - fruity and spicy.  Bought from Oaks for SGD 75.

1995 Bouchard Echezeaux - noticeably better than the previous bottles, justifying its Grand Cru status.  Nose was more fruity and sweet.  Bought from DFS Changi for SGD 75.

1998 Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc

1998 Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc - drank at a friend's place.  Fairly acidic and crisp with citrus notes.  Bought from Watson's for HKD 259.

Late night and Bordeaux

1992 Lynch-Bages - it's clear that this is a poor vintage, as it is very diluted.  A friend commented "not much 酒味".  It's crisp and smooth but not enough fruit.  Obviously the quality is reflected in the price.  Bought from Ponti for HKD 450.

1986 Cos d'Estournel - originally I had wanted to open the 1992 Mouton, but feared that it wouldn't be good enough, so out popped the cork and I prompted decanted the bottle.  Stopper was put on for about 20-30 minutes.  When I started to pour the wine, I sniffed and was amazed at the nose.  It was so intense and sweet, with loads of berries and fruit.  This was clearly a great wine.  It was more tannic than I thought and prefer but was intense.  Much more enjoyable than the Lynch-Bages.  Bought from DFS at Changi for SGD 202.

1996 d'Arenberg Riesling the Noble - this was much better than I remembered from April and May.  Really enjoyable.  Bought from Watson's for HKD 113.

1992 Clerc Milon

1992 Clerc Milon - drunk after dinner.  Not a lot of fruit, smells of pain grillé, minerals.  Fairly smooth to drink.  My friend remarked that "taste of skin is very strong", which means he felt it was tannic.  Not a remarkable vintage.  Bought from Sinolink for HKD 305.

1990 Cissac

1990 Cissac - drank at home after dinner.  Obviously an older vintage, with crisp tastes.  Smooth tannins but there was a little left.  Fruits have been lost mostly, with cigar/pain grillé, earthy nose.  Slightly disappointing but still enjoyable.  Bought from Sinolink for HKD 270.

1990 Cadet-Bon

1990 Cadet-Bon - drunk at home after dinner.  Scents of pain grillé very pronounced.  Some fruit left.  Minerals, very vegetal and earthy.  Bought from Watson's for HKD 314.

1995 Masi Amarone

1995 Masi Amarone - drank at Baci with friends.  Boring bottle with not much on the nose.

1996 Quady Orange Muscat Essensia

1996 Quady Orange Muscat Essensia - heavy taste of orange, peach and very sweet.  Bought from Watson's for HKD 98.

1989 Greysac

1989 Greysac - drank at home.  Smoky, with high concentration of fruit in the nose.  Medium body.  Excellent vintage for this Cru Bourgeois.  Should buy more of this.  Bought from Seibu for HKD 180.
