George and Super Pink
Drinking at my cousin's place.
2020 Frédéric Cossard Super Pink - definitely flinty, and we've got some savory minerals on the palate. Nice red fruits.
2008 George Pinot Noir Leras Vineyard - really sweet on the nose with red cherries, and definitely got that vanilla oak. Showed some leather notes later, and really fragrant with the woodsy notes.
Bought from Mayfair for HKD 644.

Lunchtime wine pairing
Lunch at Cristal Room by Anne-Sophie Pic.
Billecart Salmon Pic - nice and floral nose. Good acidity on the palate with a little bit of ripeness.
2022 Rudolf Fürst Riesling pur mineral - initially the nose wasn't so open, with notes of flint, minerals, and muscat grapes. Good acidity on the palate and a long finish. I could see how this paired well with the Hokkaido sea urchin.
San Francisco Javier Viña Corrales Fino Pago Balbaina, bottled in 2021 - beautiful oxidized nose with green notes, savory and fragrant, and almost a little waxy at the end. Nice and dry on the palate with umami. Just wonderful with the Comté and vin jaune sauce.
2021 Badenhorst Cinsault Ringmuur - very big and open nose, very fruit forward and juicy, with a hint of smoke. Very light and simple on the palate with a short finish.
2021 Les Bruyères Crozes-Hermitage Rouge - a lighter style, more fruity, with nice notes of forest and dried herbs. Really fragrant with tons of eucalyptus.

Rosés and Lucia
Dinner at home.
2020 Frédéric Cossard Super Pink - flinty with plenty of red fruits.
2021 Robert Sirugue Bourgogne Passetoutgrains Rosé - more flint, bigger nose of toasty oak, more strawberries, and very tropical stone fruit.
2009 Lucia, en magnum - drank 2½ hours after decanting. Smooth on the palate now. Still concentrated but the tannins are quite soft. Nose of vanilla, sweet black cherries, and later on a little bit peppery.

2019 Frédéric Cossard Super Pink - very light on the palate, with strawberries but a hint of metallic notes, flinty, with a little white peach. Color was cloudy pink.

Wines for 3-star lunch
Lunch at Caprice.
Vouette et Sorbée Fidèle, en magnum, dégorgée le 16 Octobre 2018 - more pronounced mineral notes, caramelized on the edges. The acidity on the palate was balanced by some ripeness.
Olivier Cohen Les Vignes d'Olivier Ronds Noirs Version 2 - a little smoky, still got fruit, and later a little brett.
1999 Yquem, en imperial - this big boy has been open for a couple of weeks, I believe. Still pretty nice, with classic notes of honey and botrytis.
