2004 Kilikanoon Covenant

2004 Kilikanoon Shiraz Covenant - drank 1 hour after decanting. A little plasticky initially, definitely alcoholic and sharp on the nose. Good acidity balance but a little hot on the palate. Ripe, plums, blackberries, some leather, a little grilled meats on the nose. Second pour 20 minutes after first pour, and showed some vanilla beneath the grilled meats and smoke.
